Fungi associated with galls on the leaves of <i>Terminalia Ivorensis</i> A. Chev.

Abstract

Fungi associated with galls on the leaves of saplings of Terminalia ivorensis A. Chev. around the Faculty of Agriculture, University of Benin, Benin City, Nigeria were investigated. Isolation on Potato Dextrose Agar, identification and pathogenicity tests of associated fungi were carried out. Fungal isolates were identified as Botryodiplodia and Curvularia spp. Their pathogenicity tests proved negative and thus are likely to be saprophytes.
