Synovial Hemangioma of the Knee: A Rare Pathology

Abstract

A 77 year old female patient was admitted to our clinic with a history of swelling in the right knee. After surgical excision of the mass, the pathological examination was found to be consistent with the synovial hemangioma of the knee which has been rarely reported up till now. Pathologists and clinicians dealing with the articular pathologies should be familiar with this rarely encountered entity.
