A study of anisotropic measurements in the Wasagu field

Abstract

Anisotropy was measured from a comparism of checkshot (well) depth and seismic depth. The result strongly suggests that depth anomaly in Wasagu yield is caused by velocity anisotropy of shales. The calculated anisotropy values also suggest that Wasagu field has severe anisotropy.
