Student demographics as a predictor of use of an educational software program
AbstractNearly ten years after the first democratic elections in South Africa, educators are still concerned about the needs of disadvantaged students, particularly when introducing computer technology into the educational process. This article reports on the findings of a research project, which explored the use of a Computer Assisted Education program by students from diverse ethnic, educational and language backgrounds. The results showed that initial presumptions that disadvantaged students would be excluded from the use of the technology may be inaccurate.
