The General Practitioner and the Care of the Dying Patient

PJ Turner

Abstract

As far as the general practitioner is concerned, the care of the dying patient can begin at birth, or even earlier. Important aspects of treatment at the deathbed of the aged patient are discussed in broad outline, as are the psychological aspects of terminal illness and the alleviation of pain and discomfort.
