The evaluation of a discrete automatic analysis system
Abstract
An evaluation of an analysis system (Analmatic)t for the performance of routine clinical chemical analyses is reported. Performance data are presented which show that the system generally worked satisfactorily in carrying out its functions of dispensing and diluting, performing colorimetric and flame photometric measuremf!nts and recording results. Various points of comparison with the Autoanalysert continuous-flow system are discussed. It is considered that the Analmatic system, through its lack of versatility and lesser degree of continuously mechanized performance, is at present only of limited usefulness in the routine clinical laboratory.
