Some Aspects of Epilepsy and Convulsions in Childhood
Abstract
The diagnostic and therapeutic problems of epilepsy and convulsions in childhood are reviewed. Their non-specific aetiology is stressed, particularly with neonatal convulsions and infantile spasms. The role of febrile convulsions in causing later temporal lobe epilepsy and gross neurological deficit, underlines the importance of preventing and terminating these common attacks.S. Afr. Med.
