The metaphysics market - pushing language as platonic (not to mention popperian)

RP Botha

Abstract

This is the fourth of a series of studies in which prototypical conceptions of language are subversively turned inside out. It has to be read together with the first three, The Metaphysics Market: 1 Merchandizing Language as Matter (= SPIL PLUS li, 1989), The Metaphysics Market: 2 Billing Language as Behavioural (= SPIL PLUS 15, 1989) and The Metaphysics Market; 3 Selling Language as Soul (= SPIL PLUS 17, 1991). I would like to thank Walter Winckler for contributing generously to the present study too. And I am grateful to Hildegard van Zweel for valuable editorial assistance.
