Some Modifications in the Stratigraphy of Manganese Bearing Formations, Srikakulam District (A.P.) India

Abstract

Isolated pockets and lenses of crystalline algal limestone and, red and green shales are reported from  manganese bearing khondalites of Srikakulam district (A.P). Hitherto unknown, these shales and algal bodies are of sedimentary origin. Their occurrence has changed the stratigraphic sequence of the area.
