Abstract

Introduction: Pulmonary Atresia is a rare and complex cyanotic congenital heart disease accounting for less than 1% of all congenital heart conditions. Surgical treatment strategies depend on the degree of right ventricle hypoplasia and the source of pulmonary circulation. Without appropriate management, prognosis is extremely poor with 50% of patients dying within the first month and 80% by 6 months of age.

Conclusion: Our intention is to highlight the importance of having a high degree of suspicion of congenital heart disease and increase awareness for cardiac neonatal screening programs. Here-in we describe a rare case of pulmonary atresia which presented at the age of 5 months during an acute infection with SARS-CoV-2 infection.
