Farmers Preference For Different Farmer Education Methods

Abstract



The objective of this study was to appraise the preference of farmers for different
farmer education methods as used by agricultural extension agents in Rivers State.
The population of the study comprised all the farmers in the 23 Local Government Areas of Rivers State. 10 L.G.As were purposively selected for the study from which 40 respondents were randomly sampled from each, giving a total of 400 respondents for this study. A structured questionnaire of 30 items was used for data collection. Collected data were analyzed using the mean. The major finding of this study was that farmers preferred more of individual farmer education methods.
