Evisceration of Bowel through the Scrotum

Abstract

Evisceration of bowel occurs usually as a complication of penetrating abdominal injuries or burst abdomen and when it does occur, the loops of bowel escape through a defect in the abdominal wall. It is quite unusual to have loops of bowel evisceration through the scrotal sac. We present a 22 year old man with evisceration of bowel through the scrotum after an incision of an obstructed inguino-scrotal hernia sac by a Quack.
