Peer Review

RACS is a peer reviewed journal. When we receive an article we remove the author’s names and then we send the article to one or two reviewers who are specialized on the subject. They have a time limit of 15 days to read and analyse the article. When the reviewers finish reading the article, they send in their remarks to the editor-in-chief. The editor-in-chief has 15 days to give his decision: whether the article is accepted, denied or whether it needs to be corrected. If the article has to be corrected, the editor-in-chief gives the authors a limit of 10 days to make the required corrections. If the article is rejected, we write to the author, explaining to them the reason for its non acceptance and this is done within a maximum period of 30days after submission. If the article is accepted, we write to the author informing him that is article will be accepted and this will also be done within a maximum period of 30 days after submission. The peer review process from submission to publication of the journal takes 3 months.
