The participants were made up of 101 (54%) males and 86(46%) females, with a mean age of 26.58 (SD=7.48). The results of the t-test for independent measures showed that police officers who were female, older and with more educational qualifications were more committed than police officers who were male, younger and with less educational qualification..

The findings were discussed in relation to relevant related studies. It was then recommended that more motivational techniques should be brought in place to enhance the commitment level of the male, young and less educated police officers.
