Climate Change Management in Secondary Schools in Cross River State: Funding and Training Perspective

Abstract

The study was designed to ascertain the relationship between funding, training programmes and management of climate change in secondary schools in Cross River State, Nigeria. To achieve the purpose, two hypotheses were formulated. A survey research design of the study consisted of 200 principals randomly sampled from a population of 233 principals. A research instrument designed with 24 items of Likerttype questionnaire was used to obtain data from the principals. The resulting data were analysed using Pearson Product moment correlation analysis at 0.05 level of significance. There was a significant relationship between funding and training programmes and management of climate change in secondary schools in Cross River State. Government should fund and organise training programmes for the management of climate change in the state.
