Church history in our theological training; 1917-1956
After a short summary of the history of the founding of the Theological Faculty at the old Transvaal University College, attention is given to the Department of Church
History. During the years 1921-1956 professor S P Engelbrecht built up this Department. Attention is given to his work as Church historian, his theological
position is discussed and the result of his labours is given.
