Comparative discourse on the psychological effect of Covid-19 pandemic on the sports media in Nigeria
This study examined the psychological effect of Covid-19 on the sports media in Nigeria. Case study research method was adopted. The study relied solely on secondary data, which were sourced from extant literature. Data were presented qualitatively and content analysis was used in the discussion of research findings on this new phenomenon. Conclusions were reached and suggestions made, among which are that the Nigerian sports media must tweak their operational templates, selfinnovate and self-motivate, if it must cope with the economic asphyxiating impact of the novel coronavirus pandemic on the industry in Nigeria and across the world.
