F Manai

Abstract

This is an introduction to recent fiction work by Giulio Angioni, a professor of anthropology who, along with the likes of Salvatore Mannuzzu and Giorgio Todde, is among Sardinia’s most prominent contemporary writers. Angioni’s works, both scientific and fictional, describe daily life in Sardinia over the past 50 years, incorporating a thorough and thoughtbul analysis of the impact on Sardinians of the social and economic changes that have occurred since the 1950s and ‘60s.
