Abstract



The focus of this paper is a vivid examination of the factors that underscore, influence and enhance teacher's competence and effectiveness in the instructional process. Literature on pedagogy and instructional process has established fundamental prerequisites of effective classroom instructional practices that lead students to acquire enriching abilities, skills and attitudes that serve them throughout their life. Emanating from this orientation, this exposition explores more effective means of achieving better instructional delivery and the attainment of enduring and permanent classroom learning.
