Fractures du bassin de l’adulte :Aspects epidemiologique, diagnostique et therapeutique au Chu-tokoin. A propos de 138 cas

Abstract

Purpose of the study: Pelvis factures are in augmentation since few years because of the increase of cars park. The aim of this study was to study the epidemiology, diagnosis and treatment aspects of the pelvis fractures.
Materials and methods: It is a retrospective study hold from January 1990 to December 1999 (10 years).
Results: Hundred and thirty eigh fractures of pelvis were enregistred from 3750 cases of leg broken (3.68%). We had woman predominance with sex-ratio of 0.89. The average age of our patients was
clinical and confirmed by X-ray of pelvis. Marvin Tile rule abled us to classify our patients on type A (73.73%), type B (15.25%), type C (11,02%). Urethra (4 cases) and vesical (2 cases) rupture were the
main complications of our pelvis fractures. Our patients were treated orthopedicaly by a rest on bed (77.74%) of type A; 12 cases (56.25%) of type B; 6 cases (38.46%) of type C. The death rate was 2.17%.
