e study aims at gauging effect of Yoga training with respect to certain psychological components. Fifty five Indian adults having age range 30 – 59, attending Yoga Shikshak Shibir (YSS), volunteered to be a part of this pre-post quasi, single – group experiment. YSS was a residential programme of 15 days executed by renowned experts. One-tailed significance of difference between test performance was computed by Wilcoxon Signed Rank Test. Overall positive effect measured through instruments on psychological competencies, namely, Attention and Perception (2.24**), Memory (2.06 *® Reversed), Creative Thinking (4.41**) ; and Anxiety (2.91**), Feeling of Well-being (1.15) , Quality of Life (2.56**), Personality (Triguna- Sattva .02 and Triguna- Sattva +Rajas* .10) of YSS on participants was noted. Replications of this study with variations in Yoga training, in participants and in instruments are warranted for deeper insight into which yoga activity reflected in effect on which competency and to what extent. Stability of effect also may be gauged.
