MM Omoegun

Abstract

The need for reproductive health among Nigerian women cannot be overemphasized. However, the achievement of this requires adequate knowledge of sex-related problems and issues. Thus, this paper examines some critical issues that are related to sexuality and reproductive health among women in Lagos metropolis. A total of
600 purposively selected respondents participated in the study. Samples were drawn from Lagos Mainland and Ikorodu Local Government Areas. The study revealed that both married women and teenage girls had sex-related problems and have low awareness of sex-related issues such as AIDS. The implications of these findings to counselling were discussed.
