A Conceptual Analysis of School Sports Development in Nigeria
Abstract
This research was undertaken to examine school sports development inNigeria. Specifically, education and sports policies as it relates to school
sports policies and implementations of these policies in Primary and
Secondary schools. The paper noted that the concept of school sports as
currently being used and practiced is schools is at variance with what
organised and administered school sports should be. To achieve this status,
qualified personnel, standardised sports facilities and equipment were
recommended as necessary inputs.
