Kyste arachnoïdien complique d’un hematome sous dural chronique chez l’enfant : a propos d’un cas et revue de la litterature

Abstract

Les kystes arachnoïdiens sont des lésions kystiques extraparenchymateuses d’origine malformative. Il n’y a pas de consensus quant à leurs étiologies. Ils sont asymptomatiques le plus souvent, mais peuvent parfois, chez l’enfant, se rompre et entrainer une collection sous durale.

Un cas d’hématome sous dural chronique chez un enfant secondaire à la rupture d’un kyste arachnoïdien temporo-sylvien jusque-là asymptomatique est présenté.

Cette complication est rare chez l’enfant et dois être prise en charge chirurgicalement.

English Title: Arachnoid cyst complicated with chronic subdural hematoma in children: a case report and review of the literature

English Abstract

Arachnoid cysts are extraparenchymal cystic lesions, their origin is malformative. There is no consensus about their etiologies. They are asymptomatic most often, but can sometimes, in the child, break and cause a subdural collection.

A case of chronic subdural hematoma in a child secondary to rupture of an asymptomatic temporo-sylvian arachnoid cyst is presented.

This complication is rare in children and should be surgically treated.
