Analysis of the contribution of green economy indicators in Algeria using the method of principal components analysis

Abstract

Recent decades have seen a significant acceleration in environmental pollution and a lack of resources that humanity needs to survive, which has made it imperative for countries around the world to move towards a clean economy, particularly in more developed countries, where developed or underdeveloped countries are polluting the environment alike.
Today, the green economy is of great importance in achieving sustainable development.
This study aims to determine the relationship of the green economy with different social, environmental or economic dimensions and to evaluate and compare some countries of the world with Algeria in the extent to which green indicators are achieved, through our analytical statistical study by applying the method of analysis of the basic vehicles Principal Components Analysis (PCA) among the group of countries compared to Algeria based on the reports of the green economy for 2021.
The study found that the green economy is an integrative process between its different dimensions is one of the main factors for achieving continuous and sustainable development.
