Abstract

Objectives: Identify Hepatitis B/C, biomarkers and associated Non communicable diseases (NCDs-diabetes, obesity, and heart disease) that culminates in HCC. Determine the balance of different microbiota that may lead to dysbiosis that precipitate disease.
Data sources: Pubmed search for relevant studies.
Study Selection: Relevant HCC, NCDs, and microbiota studies.
Data Extraction: Studies with appropriate design and statistical significance.
Data Synthesis: Evaluation of microbiota, probiotics, and prebiotics relevant to HCC pathophysiology.
Conclusion: New technology: Next Generation Sequencing (NGS), Whole Genome Sequencing (WGS), and mRNA that identify biomarkers associated with HCC have enhanced diagnosis, prognosis, and therapeutic agents.
