Assimilations and Images in the Language of Narrative Discourse: A Study in the narrative scene in " Pain Pride" by Ahlem Al-Akhdar

Abstract

We present here a study in the representations of narrative discourse and its images within a reading of the narrative scene. The Tunisian novelist, Ahlem Al-Akhdar, tried in her collection" Pain Pride" to emit an imagination of images and representations that depict the narrative position and reflect their visions in the scenery of the short story, considering that the themes of short stories portrayed in an intense brief language are an inspiration of the details of the narrative scene. This can be seen in her story " The Mirrors" that expresses alienation and its relationship with the self as it is exposed in front of its reality, a fact that entails a psychological reading of the story events.
