Peer Review:

To publish an article with Rwandan j. Educ., a peer – review process is engaged with established and renowned publishers in academia. The process is preceded by investigation of the Manuscripts’ adherence to the publication guidelines (here-attached), and originality using the anti – plagiarism software before it is accepted for the next steps or rejected. Each transmission is expected to have at least above 70% of originality to be accepted for the review process, or signed certifications from the previous publishers.

All the reviewers and authors are anonymous to each other through appropriate coding of each manuscript to blind each transmission. It is after coding that each manuscript is forwarded to at least two reviewers with different backgrounds but with relevant scholarly experiences. The review is conducted for a period of one month and the dully completed review report formats (Here attached) are submitted to the chief editor whose role is to coordinate the process and ensure double blindness (author & reviewers) as an intermediary. The author submits the final version of his/her article after considering the comments of the reviewers and making necessary proof reading and corrections, then signs the copyright agreement with the chief editor of the Rwandan j. Educ.

The records indicated that about 07% of the submissions are not recommend for publication; about 23% are recommended subject to major reviews; about 33% are recommended subject to minor reviews; 37% are strongly recommended for publication. In total about 30% fall out during the editorial process, i.e., either rejected or withdrawn by authors.

In all cases, communication between authors, editorial board and the peer review team remains the key to the editorial process, and it begins at the submission of article manuscript until the final notification publication, and the Editorial Board reserves the rights of taking the final decisions that concern selections of articles, of reviewers; as well as the publication and distribution processes.
