The practical significance of glaucoma investigations

Selig Sacks

Abstract

Before one can make a diagnosis of a borderline case, apart from repeated pressure readings at different times of the day, one must also chart the central and/or peripheral fields, and do a detailed gonioscopic examination. Thereafter the various provocative and other tests described are essential in order to come to a firm conclusion as to whether or not the patient is suffering from glaucoma, and in which form.
