<b>L’aérosplénie et aéroportie</b> : un cas mortel Splenic and Portal venous gas: a fatal case

Abstract

Splenic venous gas is a rare radiological sign, which may be isolated or often associated with other signs of abdominal distress such as portal venous gas. It requires urgent management depending on the etiology. We report here the case of a 16-year-old female patient admitted for an occlusive syndrome with signs of severity on CT, notably splenic venous gas and portal venous gas, whose evolution was fatal within 24 hours of postoperative period.

L’aérosplénie est un signe radiologique rare, qui peut être isolé ou souvent associé à d’autres signes de souffrance abdominale comme l’aéroportie. Elle nécessite une prise en charge urgente en fonction de l’étiologie. Nous rapportons le cas d'une patiente âgée de 16 ans admis pour un syndrome occlusif avec des signes de gravités à la TDM notamment l'aérosplénie et l'aéroportie dont l’évolution a été fatale dans les 24 heures en post opératoire.
