Abstract

La mobilité interne en Côte d’Ivoire constitue un processus social structurant, caractérisé depuis plusieurs décennies par des flux migratoires orientés vers Abidjan. Ce mouvement implique diverses catégories d’acteurs et s’inscrit dans un contexte où la ville d’Abidjan concentre l’essentiel des opportunités, accentuant les disparités avec les villes de l’intérieur telles que Bouaké, Korhogo et Daloa. L’étude repose sur une méthodologie mixte combinant enquêtes par questionnaire et entretiens semi-directifs, permettant d’analyser les dynamiques sociales et bioanthropologiques des populations mobiles. Les résultats révèlent la prédominance des mobilités temporaires sur les migrations définitives. Les acteurs concernés sont majoritairement des hommes âgés de 18 à 45 ans, engagés dans des activités commerciales et disposant d’une bonne condition physique et sanitaire. La diversité ethnoculturelle des individus impliqués souligne la pluralité et la dimension dynamique de ce phénomène. L’analyse met ainsi en évidence les caractéristiques bioanthropologiques et sociales des populations mobiles dans le contexte ivoirien.

Internal mobility in Côte d’Ivoire is a structuring social process, characterized for several decades by migratory flows directed towards Abidjan. This movement involves various categories of actors and takes place within a context where the city of Abidjan concentrates the majority of opportunities, exacerbating disparities with inland cities such as Bouaké, Korhogo, and Daloa. The study employs a mixed-methods approach combining questionnaire surveys and semi-structured interviews, allowing for the analysis of the social and bioanthropological dynamics of mobile populations. The results reveal the predominance of temporary mobility over permanent migration. The actors involved are predominantly men aged 18 to 45, engaged in commercial activities and in good physical and health condition. The ethnocultural diversity of the individuals involved underscores the plurality and dynamic nature of this phenomenon. The analysis thus highlights the bioanthropological and social characteristics of mobile populations in the Ivorian context.
