Metal(II) Guanine complxes: Cytotoxicity effect, anti-inflammatory and DNA binding activity
Abstract
The invitro activity of Guanine complexes of metal(II) Cu, Co and Fe were carried out. The ligand and its respective complexes showed a cytotoxic activity against the Brine Shrimp LC50(15.1 - 40μg/ml), anti-inflammatory egg albumen denaturation IC50(16–96 μg/mL) and the DNA binding activity using UV absorption spectral studies showed a bathochromism/hypochromism shift indicating interaction between DNA and the complexes.
