Abstract

The role of Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) is important in the development of an economy as well as the collaboration of industry in the realisation of these attempts. The management challenges that TVETs face happens to be the one of the main obstacles that hides the success of these institutions. The challenge the study focuses on that is faced by TVETs in the training of lecturers as well as placement of the learners into industry is the capacitation of the management. The literature of study this article addresses the various aspects relating to capacitation of staff and TVET legislative framework development. The study spreads a capacitation model for effective TVET capacitation following the challenges identified in literature. The effectiveness of personnel is likely to be achieved as well as student satisfaction as a result of the model advanced in this presentation. The he capacitation model designed to benefit the South African education system by allowing contextual flexibility. The multiple effect of TVET capacitation will result in economic development as the model will lead to greater economic participation through this sector of the economy.
