Abstract

This paper describes the process by which the principles of the 4H club is adapted into Farmers' Academy through which the problem of farm succession is tackled among the highly aging Japanese farmers. The farming populace as a subset of the whole aging population is being reinvigorated through the graduates of the Farmers' Academy who are exposed to the training and skill acquisition as future farmers.
