Note in margine ad alcune lettere inedite della Marchesa Colombi

Abstract

The fourteen unpublished letters by the Marchesa Colombi (nine are addressed to friends living in Novara and five to her colleague, Luigia Codemo) enlighten Colombi’s personality both as a woman and as a writer. Furthermore, events which had a strong impact on her life (i.e. the break-up of her marriage, etc.) are mentioned and commented upon offering a new perspective on her personal experiences as well as on her literary works.
