Further on the energy flux in a homogenous wave train

Abstract

A thorough study of the evolution of energy flux in a homogenous wave train is presented using the basic equations of ideal fluid. The relationship for the energy flux and group velocity is derived. This is in addition to the determination of the governing quasi-linear partial differential equation in this study. This differential equation associates the process of the energy evolutional motion to the group velocity.
