Effect of couple stresses on hydromagnetic flow of blood through a stenosed coronary artery
AbstractThe function of the coronary network is to supply blood to the heart; however, in cases of Coronary Artery Disease, the geometry has great influence on the nature of the blood flow and the overall performance of the heart. In this paper, the unsteady non-Newtonian flow of blood under couple stresses and a uniform external magnetic field is analysed by using Eyring – Powell model. We also assumed that blood viscosity is not constant but a function of cell aggregation. The momentum equation for the flow is nondimensionalized and the non-linear dimensionless equation is then solved numerically by using Adomian decomposition method (ADM) for fixed value of suction parameter. Variations of different flow parameters are conducted and discussed.
