OO Olusegun

Abstract

The study examines education capacity building, challenges, accomplishment, socio-economic implications and prospects of four years of the OlusegunMimiko cum Labour Party led Government in Ondo State. Sample comprised 60 Principal/Head teachers and 160 teachers of both Primary and Secondary schools. Three research questions were generated for the study. Two questionnaires containing 15 items each, based on a 4-point rating scale were used for data collection. Mean scores and standard deviation were used for data analysis. Findings revealed that most Principals/Head teachers appreciated the innovation and the developmental strategies put in place by the Labour Party-led government. The findings equally established that much is still required in the area of education and its proper funding by the state government.
