Abstract

It has been observed that graduates of Government Technical and Vocational Schools do not posses Saleable Skills needed for self-reliance, economic and technological development. This implies that the available resources and facilities are either not maximally utilized to the benefit of the students or that the facilities and resources are not available for effective training and learning Research questions related to the Utilization of available resources, facilities and sources of wastage were asked. The study revealed that resource and facilities for technical and vocational education in Niger State were either not available or grossly underutilized. This has lead to the existence of wastages and unless the facilities and resources are adequately utilized thereby eliminating wastage factors technological growth will continue to be a mirage.
