JH Enemugwem

Abstract

There are many sources of history for reconstructing the Nigerian past, namely, oral, archaeological, linguistic, ethnographical, and written data. This paper is a study of the use of oral tradition in the reconstruction of Eastern Obolo history. By exploring various aspects of oral tradition, the study exposes their limitations and proffers possible solutions in relation to the area of study.
