Abstract

Contemporary South-South organizations operate within a dynamic and intricate milieu, necessitating the implementation of effective mechanisms for harmonizing information and strategic planning. This research explores the "Corporate Cortex" framework, focusing on how the convergence of information interpretation and strategic action impacts both overarching organizational strategy and the successful ope-rationalization of the model itself. An empirical investigation was conducted, employing a quantitative survey administered to 235 employees and managerial personnel within South-South Nigeria, and analyzed via multiple regression techniques. The findings revealed a statistically non-significant association between the confluence of information and strategy and comprehensive organizational strategies. Conversely, a robust and statistically significant positive correlation was identified between this integration and the effective deployment of the Corporate Cortex model, accounting for 65.8% of the variance in its implementation. These outcomes suggest that, while the integration of information and strategy may not directly alter high-level strategic direction, it serves as a vital facilitator for the adoption of advanced governance structures. Consequently, practitioners are encouraged to prioritize the development of information interpretation competencies as a fundamental prerequisite for the successful adoption of sophisticated models. Furthermore, the evolution of long-term strategic objectives warrants further longitudinal research to elucidate the nuanced dynamics involved.
