Information Systems curriculum: the moving target phenomenon of the Information Systems curriculum
AbstractThis article determines the scope and nature of Information Systems training at Technikons in South Africa. Due to rapid changes in technology, knowledge regarding technology becomes obsolete rapidly. Therefore Information Systems learners should have the means and skills to keep abreast of advances in the technology field. One of the objectives will be to determine the employability of qualified Information Systems learners as well as the requirements that need to be addressed to achieve this objective during Information Systems instruction. Based on the findings of the empirical study, specific outcomes will be recommended for the subject Information Systems.
