Peer review
After initial editorial screening, each article is assigned to undergo a double-blind peer review. TYwo reviewers to assess the article's validity, originality, and significance before publication, ensuring credibility through detailed review, constructive feedback, author revisions, and a final decision (accept, revise, or reject) by the editor based on reviewer comments.
The journal selects peer reviewers by identifying experts in the manuscript's field using databases, personal networks, and author/reviewer suggestions, then checking for conflicts of interest (like recent collaboration), and evaluating their publication records, reputation, and past performance for quality and timeliness.
The editor ultimately chooses the reviewers, balancing expertise, avoiding bias, and aiming for diversity (gender, geography, career stage) to ensure a thorough, unbiased evaluation.
Reviewrs remarks are passed on to the authors. The process takes approximately six weeks.
