Author Guidelines
1. About the Journal
Avicenna Medical Research (AMR) is a peer-reviewed, open-access medical journal published by the Faculty of Medicine of Laghouat (ISSN 2800-129X). It publishes original research, reviews, case reports, and thematic issues in biomedical sciences, clinical medicine, public health, and related interdisciplinary areas such as medical ethics and health law.
2. Manuscript Types
- Original Research Articles: Reports of original scientific studies.
- Review Articles: Comprehensive critical analyses of recent developments.
- Case Reports: Unique clinical cases with educational value.
- Practice Guidelines: Evidence-based recommendations.
- Special Issues / Thematic Articles: Focused discussions on emerging trends.
3. General Formatting
- Language: English or French
- File format: Microsoft Word (.doc or .docx)
- Font: Times New Roman, 12 pt
- Spacing: Double-spaced
- Margins: 2.5 cm all around
- References: Vancouver style
- Tables and Figures: Embedded within the manuscript and numbered consecutively
4. Manuscript Structure
- Title Page: Title, authors, affiliations, corresponding author email
- Abstract: Structured (Background, Results, Conclusion), 250 words max
- Keywords: 3–6 relevant terms
- Introduction
- Materials and Methods (if applicable)
- Results
- Discussion
- Conclusion
- Acknowledgements (if any)
- References
5. Ethics and Declarations
- Studies involving humans or animals must include an ethics approval statement.
- Authors must declare conflicts of interest and funding sources.
6. Submission Process
- Prepare your manuscript following the above guidelines.
- Submit electronically via the journal’s submission portal: https://journals.lagh- univ.dz/index.php/amr
- Include a cover letter with:
o Article type
o Corresponding author contact
o Statement confirming originality and ethical compliance - The editorial office will acknowledge receipt and send the manuscript for peer review
- Authors will receive feedback and revision requests, if applicable.
- Accepted articles are published online with a DOI assigned through Crossref.
7. Copyright and Licensing
- Copyright: Retained by authors
- License: Creative Commons Attribution (CC-BY), allowing free use, distribution, and reproduction with proper citation.
