Plaie pénétrante intracérébrale par un objet rare : Le bitume

Abstract

Les auteurs décrivent un cas de plaie pénétrante intracérébrale causée par un morceau de bitume. Le patient de 28 ans a été victime d’un accident de motocycle avec traumatisme crânien entrainant une fracture de l’os frontal et un enfoncement intracérébral d’un morceau de bitume. Admis à l’Hôpital général de Douala dans un état de mal convulsif, la radiographie standard du crâne a confirmé la présence d’un corps étranger intracérébral. Le  patient a bénéficié d’une craniectomie et d’une ablation d’un morceau de bitume. L’évolution clinique et radiologique était favorable.

Admitted to the General  Hospital in Doualastatus epilepticus, plain radiographsof the skull confirmed thepresence of anintracranial foreign body.The patient  under went a craniotomy and aremoval of apiece ofbitumen.The clinicaland radiological evolutionwas favorable.
