The Revista Científica da Clínica Sagrada Esperança employs a rigorous double-blind peer-review process to ensure the highest standards of scientific integrity and clinical relevance. Upon submission, each manuscript undergoes an initial editorial screening for alignment with the journal’s scope and formal requirements. Eligible papers are then anonymised and evaluated by at least two independent expert reviewers, selected for their clinical and research expertise. Reviewers assess submissions based on originality, methodological soundness, ethical compliance, and contribution to medical and nursing practice. The Editorial Board holds final authority over acceptance, and authors are typically notified of the decision—which may include requests for revision—within a timely period. This robust process guarantees that only high-quality, evidence-based research reaches our multidisciplinary readership.
