Peer Review

Manuscript will be reviewed anonymously by at least two assessors. However, the final decision to accept or reject any manuscript will be made by the Editor-in-chief. After an article is received, it is documented in the manuscript monitoring form and then sent to two competent reviewers. The reviewers fill a check list of enquiries as it relates to the manuscript and also make free comments and corrections in the hard copy. If two reviewers reject it, it is turned down. However, if one of the reviewers advise that it be approved subject to major modification and the other reject, the editor in chief uses his expertise to either reject or accept subject to major modification

This journal provides immediate open access to its content on the principle that making research freely available to the public supports a greater global exchange of knowledge.

Focus and Scope

The Savannah Journal of Medical Research and Practice aims to promote and advance the practice and study of all fields of medicine in Nigeria in general as well as in other African countries and the rest of the world. We therefore welcome contributions relating to all aspects of medicine from workers throughout the world. Contributions may be in the form of original articles, solicited review articles, case reports, letters, preliminary communications etc. it aims to serve medical doctors, medical consultants, allied health professionals and medical scientists.

Hard Copy Subscriptions

Annual subscription rate is N1000 or $50 per volume of two issues. Remittance in bank draft should be payable to Kwara State NMA, Ilorin, Nigeria. Each copy can be purchased at the Secretariat of Kwara NMA at N500 per copy.
