Abstract

Olympe Bhêly-Quenum writes in contact with a complex linguistic universe. He also writes in a context where a language must convey another culture. Language being par excellence the pillar of the identity, cultural dimension, all writing therefore manifests a cultural mark. We can then wonder what culture conveys the language of writing in a literary diglossia. In other words, the question that arises here is how to render a real, even fictional, with systems of languages and therefore of thoughts that collide in the writing being, Olympe Bhêly-Quenum

Olympe Bhêly-Quenum écrit au contact d’un univers linguistique complexe. Il écrit, également, dans un contexte où une langue doit véhiculer une culture autre. La langue étant par excellence le pilier de la dimension identitaire, culturelle, tout écrit manifeste donc un marquage culturel. On peut alors se demander quelle culture véhicule la langue d’écriture dans une diglossie littéraire. Autrement dit, la question qui se pose ici est de savoir comment rendre un réel, même fictionnel, avec des systèmes de langues et donc de pensées qui se télescopent chez l’être écrivant, Olympe Bhêly-Quenum.
