  • (Initiale (s) du Prénom ou des Prénoms de l’auteur. Nom de l’Auteur, année de publication, pages citées) ;

Échanges is a journal of the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences (FSHS) of the University of Lomé (Togo). A paper and digital journal in French and English, Échanges is designed as a tool for disseminating scientific production in philosophy, literature and the humanities. This university journal with an international scientific committee aims to be a place of research for an interdisciplinary approach, of crossing ideas in order to encourage the crossing of disciplinary borders. It wants to work towards opening up spaces of knowledge by building bridges between different areas of knowledge. This is how it puts the human sciences, literature and philosophical reflection into dialogue and intends to guarantee a pluralism of points of view.

The journal publishes various articles, conference proceedings, essays, book presentations, original and unpublished reference texts. Texts sent for publication in the journal are subject to peer review. The manuscripts, to be admissible by the administration of the journal, must respect the following standards:

Volume: The size of the manuscript must be between 5000 and 8000 words. It should be written in Times New Roman, 11 point, single spaced. For a presentation of a book, the volume must be between 1500 and 2500 words. ‍ Writing
standards

The journal Échanges cannot receive a contribution if it does not respect the typographical, scientific and referencing standards (NORCAMES/LSH) adopted by the CTS/LSH on July 17, 2016 in Bamako, during the 38th session of the CCIs. We quote in extenso part of point 3 of these standards for the attention of all authors.

“3. EDITORIAL STANDARDS FOR A JOURNAL OF LITERATURE OR HUMAN SCIENCES”

3.1. No journal may publish an article whose wording does not comply with editorial standards (NORCAMES). The typographical standards, for their part, are set by each journal.

3.2. The structure of an article must comply with the rules of scientific writing, depending on whether the article is a theoretical contribution or the result of field research.

3.3. The structure of a scientific article in letters and human sciences is as follows:
- For an article which is a theoretical and fundamental contribution: Title, First name and Surname of the author, Home institution, e-mail address, Summary in French [250 words maximum], Keywords [7 words maximum], Abstract, Keywords, Introduction (justification of the theme, problematic, hypotheses/scientific objectives, approach), Articulated development, Conclusion, Bibliography.
- For an article resulting from field research: Title, First name and Surname of the author, Home institution, email address, Summary in French, Keywords, Abstract, Keywords, Introduction, Methodology, Results and Discussion, Conclusion, Bibliography.
- The articulations of an article, with the exception of the introduction, the conclusion, the bibliography, must be titled and numbered by numbers (examples: 1.; 1.1.; 1.2; 2.; 2.2. ; 2.2.1; 2.2.2.; 3.; etc.).

3.4. The quoted passages are presented in roman and between quotation marks. When the quoting sentence and the quotation exceed three lines, it is necessary to go to the line, to present the quotation (line spacing 1) in roman and indented, by decreasing the font size by one point.

3.5. Citation references are integrated into the quoting text, depending on the case, as follows:- (Initial(s) of the author's first name or first names. Author's name, year of publication, pages cited);
- Initial (s) of the First name or First names of the author. Author's name (year of publication, pages cited).

Examples:
- Indeed, the goal pursued by M. Ascher (1998, p. 223), is "to broaden the history of mathematics so that it acquires a multicultural and global perspective (…), to increase the field of mathematics: while it has essentially dealt with the Western professional group known as mathematicians (…)”.
- To say more fully what this capacity of civil society is, which in its effective deployment, attests that it can carry development and history, SB Diagne (1991, p. 2) writes:

Make no mistake about it: in any case, the populations have always been able to oppose the philosophy of management and its voluntarism with their own strategies of circumvention. Those there, for example, are legible in the dynamism, or at the very least, in the creativity of which the proof is known of what is designated by the name of the informal sector and to which it will be necessary to give the positive name of popular economy. .

- The Ivorian philosopher is right, to a certain extent, to read, in this destabilizing shock, the process of underdevelopment. As he says:

the process of underdevelopment resulting from this shock is concretely experienced by the populations concerned as a global crisis: socio-economic crisis (brutal exploitation, permanent unemployment, accelerated and painful exodus), but also socio-cultural and civilization crisis reflecting a socio-historical unpreparedness and an unsuitability of cultures and human behaviors to the forms of life imposed by foreign technologies. (S. Diakité, 1985, p. 105).

3.6. Historical sources, oral information references and explanatory notes are numbered in a continuous series and presented at the bottom of the page.

3.7. The various elements of a bibliographical reference are presented as follows: SURNAME and First name(s) of the author, Year of publication, Title zone, Place of publication, Publisher Zone, pages (p.) occupied by the article in the journal or collective work. In the title zone, the title of an article is presented in roman type and between quotation marks, that of a book, a dissertation or a thesis, a report, a review or a newspaper is presented in italics. In the Publisher area, indicate the publishing house (for a work), the Name and the number/volume of the journal (for an article). If a work is a translation and/or a re-edition, the name of the translator and/or the edition must be specified after the title (eg: 2nd ed.).

3.8. Only the references of the cited documents are presented in the bibliographical references. The bibliographical references are presented in alphabetical order by author's surname. For example:
