JOGECA is a journal of the Kenya Obstetrical and Gynaecological Society (KOGS). KOGS supports
the journal.
Peer Review
The peer review process starts with an editorial review. The editorial team checks to make sure that the manuscripts adhere with the journal guidelines and is within the scope of JOGECA and its readership. Two reviewers who are experts in the subjects are then asked to peer review the manuscript within two weeks. The reviewer is blinded on who the authors are. The editor compiles the reviewer’s comments, and a decision is made, either, accept with no revision, accept with minor revision, major revisions for resubmission and reviews and rejected. The Author is communicated the decision. The editorial team under the leadership of the editors makes a decision on which manuscripts are accepted for publication. Once a manuscript is accepted, a galley proof is sent to the author, who is expected to revert within 72 hours.

Focus and Scope
The Journal of Obstetrics and Gynaecology of Eastern and Central Africa (JOGECA) is a peer reviewed quarterly journal published by Kenya Obstetrical and Gynaecological Society (KOGS). It publishes: original work in all aspects related to obstetrics and gynaecology, reviews related to obstetrics and gynaecology and case reports related to obstetrics and gynaecology.
